Horsford is a large village on the B1149 (Holt Road) to the North of Norwich. It doubled in size with a large development to the West of the village in the 1980's. In the second decade of this century it has continued to expand with further development and the current population is approximately 4,500
Horsford has a range of local shopping facilities, a public house, a post office and two schools. The large Village Hall complex and recreation ground and the nearby Church Room host a wide variety of social and recreational facilities.
First Bus operate a bus route into Norwich every thirty minutes (Monday to Saturday) and Sanders Coaches from North Norfolk also pass through the village.
A free independent quarterly village magazine Horsford News is distributed free to all households in the parish
